About NamiFlow

Safe night out in Japan

Why we made this

I came across news about people being overcharged (ぼったくり) at bars in Japan. Looking into it, I learned that complaints have been climbing to record highs — and that visitors from abroad are hit just the same.

You come to Japan to enjoy yourself, and instead you're handed a shocking bill, can't communicate, and have no idea what to do. With only a few days here, most people just give up and pay. I found that hard to accept.

Maybe this happens everywhere, and maybe it's part of travel — but no one wants to be cheated, and no one wants to end up in the middle of trouble.

I built NamiFlow hoping to protect you, even a little, from the few bad actors — so you can go out and enjoy Japan with peace of mind.

It's a new service without a long track record yet. But I believe it can genuinely help — as a quick litmus test before you go in, and as a record if anything goes wrong.

Please enjoy Japan, free from needless trouble.

A note on our English

The English on this service is translated with the help of AI. Some wording may sound a little unnatural or be hard to understand. If you find anything confusing, we're sorry — and we'd be grateful if you let us know so we can fix it.

The Japanese shown to the staff is written by native Japanese speakers and is accurate. The agreement and consent screen that the venue reads is reliable and clearly worded — you can trust that your request is conveyed correctly to the store. お店に見せる日本語(合意・同意画面)はネイティブが作成した正確な文章です。あなたの希望は店側に正しく伝わります。

NamiFlow helps you agree on the price with a venue before you go in, and keeps a record of what was agreed. It is a private record — it does not guarantee any outcome.
